I had no idea how this outfit would make me feel.
A couple things are happening in today's outfit post:
ONE AND DONE
FASHION MATH
and ONE OF A KINDNESS INSPIRATION!
I've never put this outfit together. I realize that it looks quite simple but honestly, I bought this beautiful sweater and didn't know if I would wear it.
The sweater is Adrienne Vittadini; from another era. It is luxurious. Soft sweater with the most amazing, artfully shaped flowers encircling the neckline. They could easily be used to ward off un-wanted attention if a gentleman were to get too close.
So instead of looking at it longingly, like I have been since I bought it, I put it on, pulled these Express jeans on and slipped into these little ballet flats. That's it. ONE AND DONE; I grabbed my camera.
As for the FASHION MATH? I spent $21.00 on this outfit.
Jeans: $3.00 from Goodwill in Los Angeles
Ballet flats: $6.00 from Turnstyle Consignment in Minneapolis
Adrienne Vittadini sweater: $12.00 from Turnstyle Consignment in Minneapolis
As for INSPIRATION? I feel like a wacko ballerina who can't stop smiling and standing up nice and straight.
Oh, and did I neglect to mention that these little, black velvet ballet flats have two golfers embroidered on the toes? A lady golfer on the left and a man golfer on the right. He is carrying her clubs.
He is either a sweet gentleman? Or this is a serious power play. Either way, I like it!
Not only has this outfit lifted my spirits, I am excited to take the simple black sweater, ballet flats and jeans to another level. The embellishments on the sweater and the shoes feel unique and personal and could very well be something that only I like!
