My defense:
1. It is spring but it is also winter.
2. I'm wearing color.
3. I'm wearing polka dots.
4. I couldn't wait to wear this skirt.
5. The skirt was $4
6. The sweater was $4
In addition to mom not favoring this outfit. The need for spring but it totally being winter has caused me to take action. It has inspired rebellion.
Two reasons for rebellion:
1. Mom.
2.
The skirt is so light weight. Definitely from another era. The fact that it is maxi makes it perfectly suitable to the current skirt trend....lengthy!
Sweater is Carole Little and 100% merino wool. Orange and with the sweetest ruffle at the neckline. Finding 100% wool for $4? Reason alone to scour your local thrift shop.
The belt is Linea Pelle. It was a very nice gift from a friend.
**QUICK TIP.
Ask for belts as gifts. No seriously. Good belts that look great are going to cost you. I always buy belts at consignment shops. Lovingly pre-owned and more than half the original price, plus great quality.
Shorty, camel brown leather boots are INC. They are lovingly pre-owned and bought from consignment.
I paid $10 for them. They are really high but amazingly comfortable.
