Yes. Three whole dollars for the clothing on my back. I like to nerd out, in this way, on many days when getting dressed. Thinking to myself, "what is the math on this ensemble?" Just for kicks.
Shopping thrift is such a thrill. Finding items you love for really enviable prices. Many of those dollar amounts stick in my head, "hey, didn't I get this at Arc's Value Village in Minneapolis for five bucks?"
Those numbers make me love my clothes even more. Nerd!
THE SHIRT: $2
THE PANTS: $1
$350.
Three hundred and fifty fashion dollars.
Thank you Out of the Closet in Los Angeles. I remain stunned and delighted.
I also found the shirt in Los Angeles. A Goodwill near downtown. It is Anne Taylor, beautifully pink and textured and for some reason fits me exactly as I like my button down to fit.
Not to be left out. The belt, necklace and shoes were all bought from thrift and consignment.
