It is exactly 16 degrees while I am taking these photos.
This was the high temp for the day.
And while it is really cold. Come on man!! It is also really beautiful in downtown Minneapolis.
I cannot get around the need to wear practical, winter boots. I have found some great alternative boots, that are real boots. Comfortable, low heels. But when it snows a load and melts and refreezes and snows again, you gotta go for practical some days.
But practical doesn't mean they can't be pink plaid!
I decide that if I'm going to wear my pink plaid galoshes as shoes, all day, I need to wear something buttoned up on top. Including an up-do.
This jacket is circa 1990, shoulder pads and all. It is Harve Bernard, 100% wool, double breasted and very formal feeling. I just like the old gentleman's factor.
I found this at a thrift store for $.50 (that's fitty cent!)
A touch of sparkle. I've had these pink crystal chandelier earrings forever. I'm glad I held onto them. Luckily, sparkle never goes out of style in Texas.
This outfit is going to work and then happy hour with friends.
Going outside for pictures might have to be a special occasion. Where is my coat!?
